Dr. Joon-Mo Yang is an assistant professor and Director of the Center for Photoacoustic Medical Instruments in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNIST. He received his B.S. and Ph.D degrees in Physics in 2002 and 2007, respectively, from Seoul National University and underwent his postdoctoral training in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Washington University, St. Louis. Prior to joining the BME department, he was a research assistant professor in the Department of Physics at UNIST. His research involves the development of advanced photoacoustic imaging systems for various biomedical applications, such as endoscopy or minimally invasive imaging, brain imaging, and cancer imaging.
